The Miracle of Christ as a Product of a Unitary State

Public Deposited

Stories of supernatural or miraculous acts have existed since religion itself. One does not have to look far for stories of people or beings having the power to heal others, move unmovable objects, levitate, acquire unforeseen knowledge, and even conquer death. For centuries, these phenomena have been attributed to historical figures and gods and served as the basis for some of the world's most popular religions. Indeed, religions often elevated the individual with this purported power or connection to the divine to a status of a holy figure or prophet. In all major world religions, and most other religions, stories of miracles exist; in Christianity, for example, Jesus raised people from the dead, was born from a virgin, and had numerous other miracles attributed to him. Jesus, however, was in no way unique. The power attributed to Jesus is common among individuals of his status and follow a long-standing tradition.
