The EDGE (Enhancing Diversity in Graduate Education) Program is designed to strengthen the ability of women and minority students to successfully complete graduate programs in the mathematical sciences. The founders of EDGE sought to empower women entering graduate school in mathematics. In this chapter, we provide some statistics about EDGE participants and the impacts and outcomes of EDGE on these women and the field of mathematics.
