Timothy Gowers was the 2015 recipient of the Joseph Priestley Award at Dickinson College. On March 26, 2015, Gowers gave a public lecture at the college and received his award. Afterward David Richeson chatted with Gowers about his life and work. The interview has been edited for length and clarity.
